The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT<\/a>) is a mandatory exam for high school students in Ontario aiming to earn their diploma. While exact failure rates fluctuate yearly, recent data from the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) shows that roughly 1<\/strong>0% to 15% of first-time test-takers do not meet the provincial standard. It\u2019s important to note that students who don\u2019t pass the OSSLT<\/a> on their first try have options. With focused prep and access to the right resources, most students successfully meet the literacy requirement.
